Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great value for money, nice work display

I will add my voice to the song and praise this display. This review will be brief and non-technical like some of the other great reviews here, and I can respond to some of the other comments without explaining them first. This display is a nice place for regular computer users. I can't talk about games and when I go to TV I see a 55 inch screen, not a computer, so anything that shows on the computer screen for a random video or episode is fine. For me, the U2415 replaces the old Apple Cinema 23 HD display. For both, I used my MacBook's Retina HDMI port, since my 2 Thunderbolt ports are used with adapters. If you're using HDMI, you'll need to change your audio settings to route audio back to the headphone jack (system speakers) on your computer uses HDMI detection by default and sends audio over HDMI. You'll need to purchase a 6" HDMI cable separately (and I don't know if it's possible to adapt a display port or mini display port to Thunderbolt, so do your research if you must). make sure to use the correct port; This display supports daisy chaining and has two DisplayPort ports, one each for indoor and outdoor use. I like the ultra-minimal bezel. The ability to rotate 90º/vertical can sometimes be useful for that graying graphic designer creating his own "One Sheets" or other layout tasks, but this requires changing the system display settings BEFORE rotating to avoid eye, hand, mouse damage and avoid brain. OCD touch buttons are not as big a problem as some people say. Even in the dark. You won't be using OCD much, and it's no big deal, just a few taps of poking around or poking around and you've found a button to launch OCD. I also like how the silver plastic matches the aluminum of my laptop. I want the base of the Dell to be flat; In fact, it's very slightly sloped on each side, making it impractical to store anything on this sprawling base. The stand is attractive and easy to use, and I adapted a second U2415 for my wife's Mac Mini to an old HP swivel stand that I made my own 100mm VESA mounting plate for to attach my Dell to the lower edge can hold itself. Desktop (Dell stand leaves a few centimeters gap). This is a visually solid, crisp, colorful and bright display. As for the color, my only wish would be to be able to calibrate it to match my Retina screen. I'm not a fan of colors, but the Retina seems to have a little more red. There's nothing wrong with that, but if I could achieve a goosebumps tone without ruining the whiteness used for text files, I would. Probably needs a professional calibration tool. It is not possible or useful to change the aspect ratio from 16:10 on this display to 16:9 for gaming using Dell's own settings. On a Mac, however, you can try using the inexpensive Display Menu app, which offers 1920x1080 (16:9). I would give 4.5 stars if I could, but 5 because I think 4 isn't enough.
