I bought this for my wife who has a great sense of humor and has recently taken up cross stitch as a new hobby. This book was perfect for her. She likes the patterns for their subversive content and really appreciates that the patterns are in full color. She used to print templates from the internet, but with a black and white printer, she had to rely on templates printed with different characters to represent colors. This has become extremely tiring, especially for designs with more than 30 colors! The images are mostly to scale, making it easy to cross them over to count squares. This book was an especially great gift for my wife as it comes with 50 different patterns so she has plenty to choose from that will keep her patterns going for months. The patterns she bought on Etsy cost about $3 each, so this book was exceptional value. Additionally, it's a great illustrated book for people to enjoy comparing the 'traditional' hobby of cross stitching (as my wife puts it, her 'old lady's hobby') with some very funny quotes. If they ever release a second volume I will definitely buy a copy for my wife.
