I loaned my other tripod to someone and it was returned damaged. Since I still need a tripod but have nothing to do I bought this one. From what I could tell upon inspection, he looked great. As I said, this is a great tripod for students. It's light, but the production is rough in places. It's quite tall, but the neck extension doesn't work smoothly and the attachable legs aren't very strong. Head positioning is often difficult and again not a smooth process. However, the handles on the legs are very comfortable in cold weather as they give your hands some protection. I liked having a handle on the side of the tripod so I could easily carry it without having to put it in my bag, but most tripods seem to have this feature. He has wide paws with stubborn bumps. They work well but I've seen both from a tripod.
