I built a portable battery backup system for my hams. Into this box I placed a lithium ion battery taking up only a small part and secured with a separator (included) and velcro (Lowes). Inside the cover I placed the wires and terminal blocks that powered the utility pole, installed through the box connector, voltmeters, USB connectors, and more. The quality of the box was excellent, it was vented where necessary, shaped to allow sensors to fit through the box ports and optional cables routed from the inside of the box to the outside through the overhanging entry ports. they designed it. I prefer the port mounting connectors. It has a strap that can be fastened around the box for extra hold on the lid. etc. This is unused disk space, by the way. I use it to store coax cables, extra fuses, and more. Clean and dry. I had a particular use for this box if you are using a 12v dc lead acid battery for your boat, trailer etc. I'm sure it will work as advertised.
