This battery box seems to be well made. I think it will work well in marine applications. READ NOTE: My caveat to potential buyers of this unit is this: This battery case must come with a gasket and strap. Mine came with SIX from each. I hope that doesn't mean the other five people who bought this box won't be shorts. I can only assume they come in half a dozen and someone forgot to distribute the straps and spacers. Just upside down.

I'm building a portable solar generator (stocked) and need a case for my VMax Tank SL125 battery. This battery is huge and weighs over 75 pounds. I was very skeptical that this $9 box would even fit my battery, but there was even a bit of empty space inside. It comes with a divider for small batteries. The cover is very easy to fit and remove if necessary, it is held freely but securely on two "tongues" clips. Has handles on the sides. All in all a great box!
