For the price you pay this is a great little lens. I bought this specifically for backpacking and backpacking when I need a wide angle lens but would rather save some weight. Normally my camera is set at 24-105 but sometimes I want to make it a little wider or a little faster (Astro) so this lens fits the bill and saves me almost a pound compared to my 16 inch lens. 35GP. I find the image quality to be excellent, but there are certain downsides, but I won't go into detail. Whether you're an avid pixel lover or a pro, you'll probably want something better. If you're looking to save some money and reduce the weight and size of a wide-angle lens, you'll be hard pressed to find better value for your money. I don't think you can find anything smaller or lighter. Great little lens, I'm happy with it.
