I have used these LEDs to replace two of the stock 50w halogen bulbs in my Vent-A-Hood K250HSS2 and am very happy with the result. ADVANTAGES: - They work well with both levels of resistance dimmer. Switch. At low settings there is NO flicker. - With a high value, the brightness is significantly brighter than with halogen lamps. - These bulbs run much cooler than halogen bulbs. (SMALL) DISADVANTAGES: Protrude slightly from under the hood insert. This is not noticeable from a hotplate though - color temperature is slightly higher (more blue-white) than warmer halogens - low-brightness LEDs are bright enough than halogens, making a low setting less suitable for accent lighting or lighting as a night light. A total of five stars!
