I bought this product without trying this brand and so far I am quite happy with it. The reason I chose this was because it was the cheapest dishwashing liquid with mostly positive reviews and now I understand why. The soap smells wonderful with a very light natural scent. It's not full of flavor like your regular commercial brands. In terms of performance, it works just as well as any other soap. I don't feel it works any better or worse than other soaps. I deducted one star for the use of SLS in the product. The seventh generation is positioning itself to only use safe and environmentally friendly products, but not SLS. It is not classified as a carcinogen by any testing organization, but is known to be an irritant. Keep it away from the eyes and do not apply too much to the skin. Also, some people with sensitive skin may not use the SLS product at all. Be aware that many soaps and cosmetics contain SLS as it is an excellent detergent and emulsifier.
