I had to read Chance N's review to find out what was wrong with these things. I was able to flicker the lights in my garage, indicating that it was receiving signals from my remotes. I really wanted to clarify/summarize Chance's instructions in case anyone else is going through this as my steps were slightly different. can be programmed for two independent garages, but that means you really need to tell the remote what brand of garage opener the button is assigned to BEFORE programming to open the garage. To program a key mark: 1. Remove the battery cover on the remote control. Press and hold the black programming button until the blue LED on the remote turns on and stays on. Select which of the external remote control buttons (I or II) you want to program to open the door. Press and release this button until the lights on the garage opener flash or you hear a click. IMPORTANT: Make sure the LED stops blinking between each press. The number of times you press the button depends on the make/model of the garage opener; There is a table in the guide that can help determine the number of clicks.3. Go back into the remote control and press the black program button once. The blue LED on the remote control should go out. Now approach the garage door opener. Press and release the LEARN button on the opener. The LED indicator lights up or flashes depending on the model.5. Press the selected button on the remote control until the garage door opens. The number of clicks varies by garage opener model, but should be around 2 or 3. If the gate opens, you have successfully programmed the remote control. If that fails, repeat the above steps and start again with the button setup steps above.
