Works well and easy to program

I have a Chamberlin/Liftmaster Security+ 3280M garage door (purple button) and a 2005 Roboswing R900 front gate (multicode linear DIP switch - 10 switches). This remote works great for both types and every programming operation was successful after ONE try! (Get that guy a beer) An added rare bonus is that the instructions were actually very clear/readable/thorough and it was obvious someone with a good command of English was involved in creating them. Unlike some others, we all fought our way…

Poor building material guide

Programming guide not very good. The easiest way to program a garage door with a learn button is as follows. Press the learn button on the remote control and when it glows solid, press the garage door number one or number two number of times corresponding to the brand of your device. And then press the learning button on the remote control again. Your garage door can react easily. Then press the learn button on the garage door opener and press the button on the remote control and it should open

Pros
  • Very good price

  • Unreliable

New explorers need a ladder

I fought and fought with the thing. Tried every code, watched several videos. Some videos say you have to click on it until the opener responds. Others say you have to press ## enough times to match your opener. Nothing worked. My new Chamberlain knife has a "learn" button under the wall switch. This is how I programmed my machine and the Chamberlain knife. Click Learn, then click Remote. sound signal. Ready. Not with this puppy. You MUST take the ladder, climb up and press the learn button on…

Multiple doors, audible feedback

We have 2 doors with different brands of openers (a Genie and a Chamberlain). Before adding this keyboard, we could only open and close one of the doors with our old keyboard (and it wasn't the most reliable). We love that this keypad can control both doors (with different codes for each door). Keys are crisp and clear when pressed thanks to audible feedback (there's a short beep to indicate indication) - our previous keyboard also struggled, with keys being muddy without a clear state of…

Just as good as OEM with better range.

I was willing to dislike this remote as its price suggests cheap chinese junk. I was ready to give it a try based on Revain's positive reviews and return policy. To say I was pleasantly surprised is an understatement. The remote was easy to set up with my Chamberlain/Liftmaster openers and seems to have a much longer range than the OEM remote. It worked so well I bought a second one to replace my other working (but broken) OEM remote for better range. If I had to find something to be nitpicking

  • Everything is fine!

Remote control keyboard very satisfied

I have to say I am very impressed with this remote control keyboard. It exceeded my expectations. Most of the comments here are about the keyboard, not the keyboard, so I thought a lot of the reviews were misleading and wasn't sure how good the keyboard was. Now I'm glad I tried it. It was painless to connect it to my top door opener. It worked on the first try. The instructions are actually well written and accurate. Wasn't expecting it as there are so many complaints about the push button…

Works but is cheaply made

The good news is that it really works and pairs with my 2004 Red Button LiftMaster with no problems. Of course I tested before I started the installation. Therefore this is not a 5 star product. Removing the screw to access the battery area is bad enough because of the cheap screws. The head of the screw snapped off immediately when I tried to remove it. So I carefully drill two holes for the screws to attach the opener to the wall. But two screws are even worse. First I used a power tool and…

The instructions are terrible but everything works.

I had to read Chance N's review to find out what was wrong with these things. I was able to flicker the lights in my garage, indicating that it was receiving signals from my remotes. I really wanted to clarify/summarize Chance's instructions in case anyone else is going through this as my steps were slightly different. can be programmed for two independent garages, but that means you really need to tell the remote what brand of garage opener the button is assigned to BEFORE programming to open…
