I had an old USB outlet that never performed as advertised - it charged slowly. When I added another accessory I looked for one with QC charging and it was the best value I could find. It came with a nice little hole saw for panels up to 1/4" thick, but since I was replacing an existing outlet with a 12v outlet I didn't have to use it, although it seems designed for longer use ! It is secured with a plastic nut and the body is threaded over an inch so it can be threaded through panels of varying thickness. The performance of the charger meets all my expectations. The power indicator LED is attractive, but can be turned off if it bothers you. One quirk is that it has to be turned on every time I start the car, it doesn't turn on automatically.
