I've been using a Fisksrs low level cutter for several years and my ONLY complaint was that the blade kept falling out after a few uses. So I was looking for something with a different kind of blade setting. This has a closed rotating blade and is expected to cut 15 sheets of plain paper at once. In my project, 1 sheet of thin photographic paper is glued to 1 sheet of a ยฃ100 cover; not as heavy as 15 sheets of paper. The guides on this one are good, and there's a light green edge to the right of the blade knot so you can see where you're cutting. I like it. My problem is that if I don't press hard enough on the blade assembly while sliding, it will only cut through the top layer and require a second pass to complete the cut. My arm gets very tired after about 100 runs. Maybe I'm just too weak, but this is MUCH more work than a cheap orange slicer.
