This is a great first scope for anyone thinking of getting into the hobby. Assembly is easy, although the instructions require some effort. It's easy to assemble by yourself. It was packaged very well and the backpack bag that comes with it is way better than the bags you get with similar items. There is a good selection of starter lenses, and you can add additional lenses and different filters to the telescope for things like the stars, the moon, and even the sun (DO NOT USE WITHOUT THE RIGHT FILTER!). I have never owned a telescope. Telescope so it took a little getting used to aiming at objects but it gets easier with the included scope. The backpack has velcro straps and a divider to keep it from moving around or bumping into other objects such as the included tripod. The included tripod does what it's supposed to do, but if you're standing in the wind like me, it wobbles a bit, but that doesn't really matter much. Overall you can't go wrong for a first telescope and for the price it's a lot cheaper than other telescopes that can cost thousands! So, before you decide to spend thousands and realize you don't like hobbies, spend some and you won't be disappointed!
