This is a fantastic telescope for beginners (me). Pretty quickly I was able to find and focus on the moon, Jupiter and its moons, Saturn and the ring (which is difficult to focus on) and Mars. The best advice would be to start with that and then buy a better tripod once you get used to it.

I bought this telescope for my husband. We've never had one, so we decided to buy one that didn't look too complicated. The boy has it delivered. It's certainly not without sophistication. It does everything you could wish for in a more expensive telescope. He is totally enthusiastic and can only recommend it!

The first telescope. I can not see anything. There are no instructions on how to use the cell phone adapter. Came 3 lenses with no instructions on what's what. This will be the first item I will ever return to Amazon. Don't keep what's useless. There is no instructional video. When looking at the bright stars, moon etc all I see is black and yes all the lens caps are off. Complete GARBAGE

The quality was great and it was very durable. However, I'm having trouble keeping the telescope in the same position after tightening the screw to focus it on the moon, if that makes sense. Every time I centered the moon and tried to tighten the screw, the whole telescope moved. It was so uncomfortable after the first night that I gave up using it again. I was really looking forward to this purchase and am very disappointed. But maybe someone else has better luck.

This telescope was easy to put together and wasn't as bad to put together as others have said. You can't beat the price for the aperture size of this telescope! I will say this telescope takes a lot of time and effort to learn how to use, but there are plenty of resources on the internet. Although the picture shows a backpack bag I wasn't sure what I was actually getting but when it arrived this backpack will hold it all! The straps on this backpack are padded which helps as it is not a lightweight telescope. I bought it because I am not an advanced telescope user and would consider myself a beginner and I found this telescope very easy to use.
