Review on Cardone Select 13 2352 Master Cylinder by Chase Hosea

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Lots of bad reviews but it's still a bestseller.

When it comes to master cylinders the choices are limited but the one that fits my 1990 Chevy K2500 is #8 on the bestseller list. Before you buy any of these you need to know which one to buy and for my truck it was the JB6 brake code. To find the correct code you will need to check the 'parts identification' sticker on your car and then check the codes online to see which of these numbers corresponds to the master cylinder. The sticker on my car was in the glove box (or glove box). storage area) and taking pictures is a good place to start, then search the internet for "GENERAL MOTORS GENERAL PRODUCTION OPTION (RPO) CODES" just the RPO codes for your vehicle. My purchase was correct for the truck and there is a manual. a sheet to bleed on a stand prior to installation. If you push the plunger enough times over the course of a few days you should be able to find a leak around the reservoir seals before installation (the reason I replaced mine). it and Revain state that my return window is 30 days. I haven't had any leaks during the dyno tests/bleeds and they haven't come out on the truck yet. I bled the lines manually because the fluid in mine looked like diarrhea and I'm a bit embarrassed for ignoring it for so long...especially since I recently replaced the engine, power steering, radiator and many other parts have. I considered replacing the seals and/or reservoir, but the cost was about the same as replacing an old block with this one. I thought about replacing the booster but for the price I'll wait until it's actually needed as it can be replaced without removing the master cylinder. It was a quick and easy fix and it was a lot better to buy it online than to drive another car 40 miles to an auto parts store and they say yes when asked what brake code was on the truck I got left at home. If it leaks later I'll update the review, but for now it's working fine.
