Velcro is a bad idea

Nice boot. I thought they fit well when we tried them on. My daughter wore them at home for a while before we committed to keeping them. No questions. However, on day one when she wore them all day, we had a hard time keeping the velcro closed. The boot appears to be too tight at the top of the shoe where the Velcro straps converge. When she starts walking or climbing, the velcro won't stay on. My daughter is tiny, like the 10th percentile. It's a bit odd that they fit her like she has big calves/ankles (which she doesn't). Velcro sounds smart but now I wish they were laced up so we have more room.
