These worked great for fastening some plastic floorboards behind my house. The crew that installed the deck missed a few spots (out of hundreds of places where there should be screws, not a big mistake, it even took me a year or two to realize some were never installed since it is not very visible). . Loose boards where a screw has broken off or the wood underneath has split and the screw is no longer holding the board. I think it will be very difficult to install them with a hand screwdriver. They went in easily with my impact wrench and matched the look of the screws already in the deck. When installing with hand tools, I highly recommend drilling a pilot hole for easier installation.
