I was looking for a stainless steel case for a game stand I made and couldn't find anything other than this one. Bolts through perch. I ordered one to try. The size is just right for my Hawk Head, but instead of removing the hardware I just drilled a hole in the end of the perch and screwed a corner bar right in. This works great and doesn't take up space on the perch. I just ordered another one for the other end of the pole. I can't tell what a big bird will do with it as I've never had one so it's more than enough for my Hawk-headed Parrot. The inner cup is then inserted into the outer cup and the edges folded over into one piece. He seems strong enough to me. In the second photo, the cup is screwed into the perch. As an alternative to using the included fasteners, you can use any 1/4"-20 bolt to screw directly into the nut at the bottom of the cup. Hope this helps. Update: 05/20/20: I have 7 of these Cups. , 4x12, 2x16 and 1x32 and I live with that size doesn't matter, my Hawkhead bathes in all of them ;) The cups are still like new and I mount them 3 different ways, either with the bracket provided or 1/4-20 screw through Screwed rod or 1 screw /4-20 into the shell and cut off to make a hairpin, then put the hairpin in the drilled hole.
