This is an amazing cutting mat that I bought to cut fabric. I cut circles out of an old t-shirt and the fabric couldn't stay in place so I used a small piece of tape in each corner to press down. When I removed the tape I noticed some dirt was left behind so I put a small amount of Goo Gone on a cotton swab and wiped it off. When I did this, the white lines on the mat also faded. So be careful when using masking tape on this rug. The solution you use to remove dirt can erase the measurement lines. To me this does not affect the quality/use of the rug as it is a small area but it is just something to consider when using this rug.
