First off I have to say that I started out really liking this product. I got it for my 13-inch MacBook Air, and accessories, and it is very sturdy, a nice tight fit, nice look outside - sober grey suitable for the workplace, but with a cool contemporary brushed pattern, the inside is a little too luminescent for my taste but I don't care so much how the inside looks, the hard spongy material inside is nice. I liked that there were two pockets - one a bumpout suitable for carrying the power supply for the laptop, and another very flat one in which a chequebook or stamps can be carried. I liked that it had handles as well as a strap. And I really liked that the strap was thick and sturdy, and attached with metal carabiners onto metal hooks (rather than plastic ones), which attached to nylon loops sewn into the cloth body of the case. I got my first one in April 2017, and it failed in January 2019; I thought it was a fluke failure and got an identical one again immediately, and it failed in IDENTICAL fashion in eight months. Full disclosure - I am NOT overloading this case - the MacBook Air and its power supply are the two heaviest things in there, I also carry a couple of other things like pens, cables, earphones, and such. How the strap failed is interesting. It did not fail in any of the obvious ways - torn out from the cloth, metal loop tearing out of nylon loop, or such. One of the pieces of metal in the strap seems to have deformed the other. Basically the carabiner (which can clip onto or off the metal loop sewn into the bag via a nylon loop) attached to the rest of the strap by a endlessly free rotating junction. So the round end of the carabiner (see photo) is flattened to a size larger than the hole it goes into. But it seems that this metal is not as hard as the other piece, or whatever, but over time this has worn away or reshaped the round end of the carabiner until it slips out of the ring on the strap. It may seem unfair to give this bag a low rating just because the strap failed, but the strap is a big part of the function of a carrying bag. And it is not something you expect to fail - both times when it failed I was on the go, and both times my laptop suffered little dents when the bag fell to the ground - purely cosmetic, fortunately. This happening two out of two times, and the second time so soon after purchase, means to me that this is a defect in the product. I will have to search for a different case for laptop now, and I hope this review will save somebody else the same experience.
