This is the first time I've used Hagen Vision grow boxes in my open aviary. Due to their construction they really only work on the hook. I have these Got "shelves" and hung them on the bars of my enclosure and put the vision box on the shelf. I also glued a small hook to the top of the nest box and hooked it to the bars too. no chance of them getting out of the Shelf disappear. The seller I bought the 8" from never shipped it. Got a refund and ended up buying the 12". They are better suited for drawers as they stick out a few inches on each side of the drawer. Vision boxes are slippery and birds cannot land on them. The shelf that differs from both Extending sides and across the front of the box gives them a good landing spot.I think I'll find another use for these terraces after my grow session is over.
