I actually cleaned my holding tank, added fresh water and a new bag of this product. I chose to weigh it because the packaging says you can. After a few days the aquarium was very green and long strings of algae were growing on the burlap. After a week it got worse. I waited two weeks and finally decided that I would not let the horses drink any more water. It may actually have increased algae growth in my aquarium. I took it out, cleaned the tank and filled it with fresh water. However, this product went into the bin and not back into the tank. Algae growth was no longer visible after a week. So the algae grew faster with the secret than without.
