Problems seem to be fixed
I bought one of these a few years ago and was very disappointed. I missed the return window so I tried to tweak it from time to time without getting it working properly. On a whim I decided to order another one just to see if they fixed the issues. Good news, they have! The punch tip is noticeably sharper and the ridge that is meant to grab and hold the edge is now very pronounced and holds up very well. In addition, the overall finish is also better. This is a stamped piece of steel and the old edges were a bit rough and unfinished. The new one has nice smooth edges. Now I'm very happy.
