I use this sketchbook everywhere and am very happy with it. from white to cappuccino. The good thing about this scrapbook is that you can also use watercolor and markers and it doesn't go through the other page, just the white paper shows the pencil a bit so you can actually use most of the pages. both sides! The watercolor makes it look a little crumpled, but it's a nice touch as it's a journal made for drawing on the go. Also, the paper isn't entirely smooth, it's dented with horizontal gaps filled with vertical thin lines all over the page that are barely visible. I recommend 9x9 so you can easily hold it open while painting. Even if the page is larger than 6x6, it still fits on a regular scanner and can be stowed in a small backpack. "Square" is a good format that allows more space in your drawing than a regular rectangle.
