There were no serious stains that needed to be removed and whether it was even necessary, but I used it. Replaced the water block and radiator but retained some of the existing components. I disassembled and cleaned the water block. Then I treated the new radiator with Primochill Rad Clean and rinsed it out well. I then put everything back together and spent over a week rebooting the system using the second method (using all of the concentrate in a loop). After draining and flushing the system reboot, I broke the loop and cleaned the tube with an ampoule brush and it actually looked pretty good. (Over the course of several years, some algae got stuck in the test tubes that I never removed.) So yeah, I think it worked. I am currently using Liquid Utopia and may write a review in the future.
