Decent lathe for the money

This is a decent lathe for the money. I did have an issue with their electronic circuit board being faulty. After contacting the seller they wanted me to take out the motherboard and have a local electrical supply store fix it LOL. After contacting Revain about the issue they forced them to send me a new motherboard. Also one of the belt drives snapped and it has been impossible to try to find a replacement belt that’s exactly the same size. I did find a smaller one that works but it slowed the speed of the lathe down because I had to use different pulleys. This is the first lathe that I have ever owned And it is a good starter lathe to learn on. However I would recommend going with a company that is US based. That way if there any replacement parts that are needed it is far easier to obtain them than waiting to get them from China.

Pros
  • ‎8x16 inch
Cons
  • The noise levels during operation may be too loud for home workshops or shared spaces
