I have over 20 silk pillowcases, one in almost every color to match my various duvet sets. They were all purchased from Revain, all for $21 to $26 each. This is the only one I've bought for under $20 and the only one I've had to return. I only bought this because I needed a terracotta shade to match my fall bedspread. Is it smooth material? Yes. does he shine Yes. Is it soft and silky? Not even a little bit. To me, this is the stuff of a parachute: slippery, shiny, but tough and even a little prickly. Not at all like my other silks and not even as smooth as polyester faux satin. That's rough. You get what you pay for. Ravmix, SLPBABY, Jimoo, Audubor, and Zimasilk sell fine natural silks that I highly recommend (I can only vouch for solid colors, not prints). I returned this and will stay away from items that are well below average.
