Smells and feels like REAL pure beeswax! it has that slightly pliable stickiness that I associate with natural beeswax. Even in the form of a bar, it melts fairly quickly and easily; In fact, it only smells slightly slower than lozenges and has a very strong honey aroma. You can also cut them (I have a special strong knife for this) with a knife and hammer (to tap the knife) to break them into smaller pieces, but it's not necessary. They only take 5-7 minutes to soften (in a saucepan of hot butter removed from the heat source) and melt enough to cut with a butter knife. The scent is unbeatable compared to other brands I've tried.
