I can't get this hard drive to work. I've been looking for a solution to the problem for 3 1/2 hours. I put the hard drive in and the computer showed "No boot device found". I've searched YouTube for a solution (of which many have been uploaded), but the only one I've found (which seems to work and all others don't) is to replace the hard drive. But Garret! (Some smart cookies can reveal this) There are many reasons for this issue. How do you know it's a hard drive? I'm glad you asked, smart cookie, the problems not only started when I installed the hard drive (which was part of an extensive repair), but I singled out every part of the computer that could be causing this problem. There are three components that can cause the problem. CD/DVD/CD-RW drive, built-in network card and of course an internal hard drive. The built-in network card also had problems, but I'm not talking about that. I tested all three, the CD/DVD/CD-RW drive was fine, but the other two components were not. I should also mention that I only received the hard drive two days before and I couldn't find any damage to the packaging. I wish I knew what's going on with this hard drive, but for now all I know is that I'm going to reconfigure it.
