Mine lasted 4 years and USB ports just died! The exchange turned out to be a bit more difficult. There are better swiveling versions, but do they leave the USB ports in the front? The view challenges the turning point. I got my money's worth but am looking for several replacement options that I didn't have. Option number 1 with screw mounting. A few previous reviews have clarified this, and I've had similar issues where unplugging could disconnect the entire device. I knew about this when I bought it, so it's not the product's fault. Some people may have looser vessels than others. #2. More powerful USB port. This is a tricky question since most manufacturers refer to it as 2.1A when splitting that rate between both ports (assuming 1.0 for each). If you want faster USB speeds, you'll likely have to pay for it. So you're probably better off just plugging your phone's original charger into an outlet for faster speeds. That's what I do with it while I'm still using it, just plugging in my cube on the side.
