Incorrect Video Presentation

Believe it or not, consumers skip the detailed description and specifications and rely on a video presentation that looks exactly like the product shown. There are no USB ports as shown in the video. Yes I could buy a model with ports but I took the time to return 4 of these. Despite the dummy plug, it still wobbled when plugged into the socket.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Poorly designed

They are needed everywhere

Behind the bed, on the kitchen table, behind the dressers. Anywhere you can't reach an outlet - think, where you need lamps, chargers, hair dryers and curling irons, too fat chargers come in handy. And necessary. On the kitchen worktop, the cables lie flat against the wall, do not stick out and are not in the way. I bought 1. Then I came back and ordered more. Now I will order more. They are more than helpful and I recommend them.

  • Constant test results

  • Almost never

Good value, great option and lasts!

I first bought them in 2014. One of them lost USB functionality about a year ago, but still works for over 7 years (sockets still work). I just bought another round of these and am just as happy as the first time. I live in a very old building in NYC and the outlets are limited and a little awkward. I used this to safely increase the number of 3 pin sockets available. I use one under a stereo as I wanted to avoid the typical surge protector due to its visibility. Very satisfied, highly…

Easily removed from the wall.

I like that the outlets can be turned to the side so they don't take up too much space e.g. B. behind a sofa. The biggest problem with this is that a lot of other people struggle with not staying fully connected to the wall. The "hot” plug is at the bottom, the support plug is at the top. I agree that it would stick better and stay in the wall better if they swapped those two out. It doesn't fall out completely for me, but I can see that it doesn't fit the socket snugly, and if people put a lot

Works, but far from perfect!

Well the idea is great but the end product is not that good! It feels fragile, it is very difficult to turn the sides of the socket in and out, and the entire device can be detached from the socket very easily. If someone is just plugging in their ports and leaving everything as is, then fine, but if they want to be constantly plugging and unplugging, this device is sure to annoy them like hell. And finally, it has a 30 day guarantee if I understand correctly, but even that is LIMITED? LAUGH…

Excellent goods! for accessories and consumables

Where has that thing been all my life?! I have been trying for a very long time to connect and disconnect the phone charger and the lamp behind the bed. My poor husband didn't even have an outlet - he had to charge his phone in the bedroom. This device came in very handy because now we can easily plug our charging cables into the USB sockets on the top of the connector. This eliminates the need to connect the block in the first place. The bushings themselves are then turned to the sides rather…

Needs a little top support but still great.

This is a five star product but I can only give it four stars as it tends to vary from the outlet it is plugged into. It has a regular copper plug at the bottom for plugging into an outlet and a plastic plug at the top. Unfortunately, the plastic plug doesn't really offer much support. The top of the Globe Electric 6 Outlet protrudes slightly from the top. It doesn't seem to matter much, but the manufacturer/designer should have handled this a little better. I believe a piece of double sided…

Good product for its time!

Mine lasted 4 years and USB ports just died! The exchange turned out to be a bit more difficult. There are better swiveling versions, but do they leave the USB ports in the front? The view challenges the turning point. I got my money's worth but am looking for several replacement options that I didn't have. Option number 1 with screw mounting. A few previous reviews have clarified this, and I've had similar issues where unplugging could disconnect the entire device. I knew about this when I…

Good idea, bad mechanical design.

I bought this product mainly because of the USB ports. However, like other Globe products, it has one significant drawback: the top pins are plastic, they're too short and not thick enough to actually "grab" the plugs in the outlet, causing them to fall out due to the weight of the cords . Obviously the weight of the cords wouldn't pull the faucet out of the socket if they made the top pins out of metal pins. An even better solution would be to make both sets of tines out of metal. (I would…
