I have a 2009 Kawasaki KLR650, the oil plug burned out a few years ago but held some torque. Took it to a mechanic who overtightened the spark plug and didn't hold much torque after that. Everything was fine for several weeks, there were no drops when adding Permatex silicone. So I went on a trip and there was a pretty big leak in the middle of the Adirondacks. The bike rocked back as if it had run out of gas. Luckily I caught it quickly and had one in my pocket for emergencies. I installed a parking lot with Permatex and I'm not stranded 200 miles from home. Already driven 400km, 0 drops of oil. I highly recommend it to those who have questionable oil plugs. It's also a 19mm jack instead of the standard 17mm jack. Edit: Still fits well after one season/oil change.
