These shorts have a well-tailored feel and the material is soft. I'm 5'4", 130 lbs. a small size depending on the hips and a fringe S/M for the waist, so I went up and got a medium waist fit, but the hips are where they're looser should be, they were a little tight and had a little pouch and fabric tension.I can't comment on how they feel when you walk in them or how they hold up in the wash since I sent them back when I ordered definitely a size up if not 2 sizes.
