Review on Super Chunky Merino Roving Knitting Yarn by Carla Anderson

I bought this yarn because my mother really wanted a solid knit blanket. The Pinterest-esk project advertised it as a cheap project but that must have been before they checked the wool price! To make a small quilt (about 4 x 6 feet) I had to purchase five skeins of this yarn using 1.5 inch needles. With all this, the final product is really nice and soft. I had serious problems knitting: this yarn was twisting too much on its own, so I had to unwind the whole ball of yarn and unwind everything before I could continue. Maybe I did something wrong, but I've never had problems like this when knitting. The reason I gave it four stars is because the quality of the wool is so high that it seems like you should buy it from an off-road yarn shop, not Meijer or Micheal's. One star off, however, because of the price and the fact that I struggled with the fact that it was twisted into knots. All in all a pleasant product. Will most likely buy again in the future for other, smaller projects.
