We already have Google Fi phones and wanted to use it as a mobile router for our daughter. You've ordered a data-only SIM from Google, which is free if you're an existing customer. The SIM card that arrived does not work on any of our devices even after online activation, so we need another one. However, this mobile router WORKS! When we take our SIM card out of one of our phones, it works without any problem. So our problem was a faulty SIM card. It is important to have the correct settings in the APN AND ALSO press the button that says "SET DEFAULT". We missed this important step. Google Fi Settings: Manage Profiles > Create. The profile name is Google Fi. The dial-in number is *99#. APN - h2g2 protocol - None. Press SAVE. Click SET DEFAULT
