Review on Philips Norelco Shaver 3100: Rechargeable Electric Shaver with Pop-up Trimmer - S3310/81 by Chris Byers

2 Confusing Design Flaws

Two major problems: 1. The head release button is too easy to activate unintentionally, causing cut hair falls out everywhere: for example on the knees, in the car, on the bed or on the breakfast plate.2. There is a single on/off button that turns the shaver on and off. You can't quickly turn off the switch during travel to prevent the shaver from being turned on unintentionally by movements in the luggage. (By contrast, a simple slide switch can be latched in the OFF position.) I understand these design considerations were probably made with performance and cost implications in mind. I'm here to say that in my experience, the performance implications come with significant downsides.

Pros
  • Flexible 4-Way Heads - The heads flex in 4 directions to easily shave every curve of the face and neck
Cons
