I bought the black/orange version because I wanted to use orange as an accent color for my new Santa Cruz Chameleon with Fox Rhythm. 34 fork. My wife, a local fashion expert, disagreed. She figured I should go all black and then suggested I just turn the fender upside down when I mount it. This worked great as the device doesn't actually have a top or bottom, it only has color on one side. So if you want black, you have black. Haven't had a chance to test it in the mud yet, but it's been raining for a few days now so I'll update soon. I can say it was pretty easy to install, assuming you can bring your own zip ties as none are included. Update July 10, 2019: I uploaded a photo after a pretty chaotic ride. You can see in the photo that while the fender picked up a decent amount of dirt, it didn't really stop much dirt from getting onto the frame. The head tube and fork were retained, but little else. My face still got a decent amount of dirt as it's not really protected by the fender unless you're a fair bit forward over the grille. But it's better than nothing and looks good. I'm still happy but I think a little more distance or more curve following the wheel would be much more efficient.
