Review on πŸͺ‘ IKEA BEKVAM Beige Wooden Utility Step - Enhanced for SEO by Marcus Consumers

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It's not the same wood they used before.

I already have one of these stools and I really like it. I bought it about ten years ago and it is in very good condition. We needed another one for our pantry since we added shelves upstairs. Ikea no longer had these. So I was happy to see Revain selling them. However, the first chair I have is made from a much denser wood than this one. This makes it heavier than new. But the new one seems less durable because it's not the same weight. So for me low weight is negative. My husband says the new one is poplar (poplar dents very easily, as do my kitchen cabinets, so I'm not impressed with poplar). All this aside. It says the weight limit is 225 and I have 250 and it hasn't fallen apart or broken yet. The assembly was the work of one man. The instructions are typical IKEA instructions. I don't like reading instructions at all and I got a few parts mixed up and had to undo and swap things out. But in the end I succeeded. I would like a denser wood. But it will do. I got it about 5 months ago and had no problems with it.
