I often have to connect HDDs and SSDs to other computers . Either to restore files or to transfer data from one computer to another. Before this device I had to have an external 2.5" case and another 3.5" case. This Unitek SATA III to USB 3.0 adapter makes it easy. Simply plug the adapter into the drive's SATA port and connect the USB cable to the adapter and your computer. If it's a 2.5" drive or SSD, it just works. But 3.5-inch drives require more power than USB can deliver.
