Review on 🍎 Norpro 860 Apple Mate 1- The Ultimate Apple, Potato, Parer, Slicer & Corer Masterpiece by Tonya Fisher

I have been using Norpro Apple Mate 1 for almost 20 years. At the time it was difficult to use as we have 4 dwarf apple trees that produce more apples than we can use. As a result, I make tons of applesauce, stick it in the freezer, and give away for the holidays. This little Apple Mate 1 is a great workhorse for handling 30 apples at a time. This year one of the three pins on the fork broke so I went in search of a replacement. I found an Apple Mate 3 but it didn't work either. So I was thrilled when I discovered the Apple Mate 1 at Revain. However, the new Apple Mate 1 is smaller and lighter than my old one and doesn't quite keep up in my opinion. For some reason he didn't always peel the apples. We have tried reinstalling the blade and it works intermittently. The swivel on the blade doesn't have the turning range like my old one. It struck me that Norpro didn't even put their name on this product like they did on the old one. Anyway, we were able to replace the broken pen arm on my old one with a new one, so my old Apple Mate 1 is back in business. I will keep the new one and use it as a spare for my old one. Therefore only 3 stars.
