This bulb should not be used in enclosed fixtures such as porch lights as it is warned against using it in enclosed fixtures. See attached photo. If an incandescent bulb is used, the best-case scenario will blow your $8 lightbulb out prematurely, the worst-case scenario will start a fire and burn your house down. It's not worth it! If you need a porch light bulb, look for a different light bulb. There is no information on the packaging or marketing that this should not be used in sealed devices.
