Mermaid Duvet Cover Review (quick fact check, you need to buy the duvet separately and put it in this cover, it's essentially a pillowcase for a duvet. It's not a bed sheet and it is not a comforter/duvet,it is a duvet cover.People usually use duvet covers on comforters to protect them as they are expensive and not easy to wash): beautiful but not as pretty as you might think based on the photo. The mermaid looks more cartoonish up close (it looks more elegant from a distance). It's not bad, but it doesn't have the wow factor I was expecting. The king size comes with two identical pillowcases, one side has sea shells and the other side has mermaid lettering as shown in the pictures. I'm glad they have BOTH shells on one side because I prefer that to the mermaid scenario. The duvet cover has no corner ties to keep the comforter in place! This is very annoying. In one of the stock photos you can see the threads running down the duvet cover (making it look like a duvet, not a duvet cover). There are no threadlines on the product itself. The back is purple as shown in my photos. Overall, this is a cute microfiber duvet cover, but nothing special, so I'm glad they're charging a fair price for it ($34.99 at the time of writing this review) and not the outrageous prices you usually see on Disney merchandise .
