I like that it doesn't have a bell or wires and I didn't want to spend a fortune. The camera turns on 5 seconds after pressing the button. The second press gives you a closer view. The picture is a bit grainy, but for such a small screen it doesn't matter much. Works great at night with no loss of brightness. Installation: Despite my issues, it was quick and easy to install. The rear shaft of the device was too short for my door, so I used an old peephole that was longer. Also, my existing brass peephole through which you must insert the lens was too small for the wider 1/2" lens lip just behind the eye, so I had to drill a brass peephole to enlarge it. Now it works. without any frills.
