I bought a Brinno peephole when I bought it from home. He died after 8 years and I bought this replacement. The installation is lousy. The flange doesn't match the peephole, the "tool" is a quarter sized piece of metal. Unless they can figure out how easy it is to "tighten the screw on either side of the door," I have little faith that their engineers can get a good peek.

I have a ring doorbell, but I don't always have the phone in my hand to see who's at my door. I live in an apartment building which helps. The lights are always on, so I don't need motion detectors or night vision goggles. I just need to see who's ringing my doorbell when I don't have a phone. It literally installs in minutes and can't be messed up. I love it. Excellent work! I can buy another one when this one wears out.

I give this product 5 stars because for the most part it does what it says it does but mostly because it gives me peace of mind. The picture isn't crystal clear, but it's better with night vision on and porch lights on. It's not motion-activated, but if you read the description it says it's a manual. Overall I am very happy with this purchase. Be sure to include a memory card with your purchase. The product does not work without the device switched on.

In our apartment, the appearance of your door is strictly monitored and nothing is changed in the common areas. This peephole camera gives me extra security while remaining discreet. None of my neighbors or housing management notices that I have installed this unobtrusive camera. It was easy to set up and the picture quality on the LCD is way better than I expected.
