these things are great! I spend a lot of time in my kitchen. I'm rarely impressed by kitchen gadgets. That being said, I've tried several "scratch-free" scrubbers. Most of these are plastic nets rolled into balls. I tried different brands thinking one lasted longer than the other. However, everything I tried fell apart within two to three weeks! I found that some of the "pads" didn't "unravel" but rather scratched my polished aluminum and chrome parts so I stopped using them years ago. Even if you think copper scrubbers can work, think again! they leave scratches on metal and plastic and after a few days they start to smell bad! I thought I was doomed to use those frustrating plastic balls for the rest of my life! Then I found these things and decided to try them. I received 2 packs and am still using the first one after 3 months! It doesn't scratch like puff balloons but holds together! I still have to carry a hole through. I'll probably switch to the second if that happens. Meanwhile, that first one still works fine. I've washed it a few times on the top rack of the dishwasher to keep it free of dirt that can cause stinks. he is fine with it. I just laid it out and "fixed" it in the corners with a couple of glass beakers. It looks and smells like new! In my opinion, they should not be missing in any kitchen!
