Review on MSD 5552 Street Fire Spark by Srivatsan Oling

High quality noise canceling wires

I prefer cut harnesses as it's pretty much the only way to get the wires to fit your motor exactly. Some pre-made kits are better than others, but many will give you 6-inch or larger connector wires. Chaotic. MSD cables are among the highest quality cables, not only in terms of efficient power delivery, but also in terms of ease of connection. I had more than one set of noise suppression wires that were almost impossible to get to without removing the outer wire cover. It doesn't matter what kind of lube you use - soapy water, whatever. There are no problems with these MSD wires. The wire kit includes a basic lug crimping tool, but if you intend to make several of these in your lifetime, it's worth investing in an MSD ratchet crimping tool, which does an excellent job of making professional-quality lugs. (I used to crimp the terminals with pliers and swear a lot.) Barbed wires are highly recommended. With several reviews complaining about the cables not fitting their motors, all I'd like to say is (1) they are cut to size to fit, and (2) this set is 90 degrees -Eyelets on the ends of the spark plugs. If you need straight spark plug caps, try MSD 5551, not this set.
