My favorite dry towel brand has changed everything about their product and I don't care about the smell of their reformulated product. It smelled like old lady's rancid perfume. And we all know how much we wish our freshly washed clothes could smell like Great Aunt Mildred. I had to find a new dryer sheet that is softer, doesn't leave white spots in the dryer and on our clothes, and smells like fresh, clean clothes. It's harder than you think! After trying 6 new dryer sheets, I have a few favorites. Sheets Meyers Clean Day Dyer Sheets are really good. The scent isn't subtle when you open the box, but don't worry, it's very mild on washed clothes. Each sheet is perforated so it can be torn in half before going into the dryer. This is done so that they do not clog the dryer vent. It's a safety issue, just tear them in half and throw them in the dryer. Or use half a basil scented leaf and half another Mrs. Meyer drying leaf to create your own scent. These leaves are compostable, so instead of throwing them away, just toss them on the compost heap or save them for a composting friend. Basil might seem like an odd dryer sheet scent, but it's a very pleasant, clean scent. Luckily I wasn't greeted by Great-Aunt Mildred's cloud of perfume as I took the laundry out of the dryer. I am pleased that these dryer sheets smell clean, soften clothes very well, eliminate static electricity and leave no white marks in my dryer. I've been using Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day for 12 years. I can't believe I waited this long to use their dryer sheets! Try them, you might fall in love with them just like me. And if you're new to Mrs. Meyer's products, I recommend starting with her all-purpose spray. This is my #1 product that I use every day and has never failed from the kitchen to the bathroom and is great for auto detailing. Really good stuff. I wasn't paid for my opinion.
