Review on πŸ“· CNC Aluminum Lightweight Mini Tripod for Digital Cameras, Cell Phones, and Webcams – Table Stand with Cold Shoe Mount on Ball Head Side for Microphone or Light Source by Edith Massey

Definitely fills a niche

I have several "desktop" tripods. I can honestly say that this is the first one I really like. The problem has always been that tripods are too weak or too big. Yes, some tabletop tripods work great, but they are too big to fit in a small space like a fanny pack. This all-metal tabletop is durable and fits in a fanny pack or a couple of small pockets found on most backpacks. It is well made and makes a high-quality impression. The legs have the right amount of resistance (friction) and can be adjusted with the included hex keys if you want to increase or decrease it. The legs have three possible positions to compromise height for stability. The latches on the legs are smooth and snap well. Rubberized feet ensure good contact regardless of the degree of extension. The ball head is simple, which allows you to make it as small as possible. The head has a cold shoe. I don't need it, but it's nice to have in case I need it in the future. I have a much better "small" ballhead, but I prefer a simple and compact large and full-featured ballhead (swivel, quick-release, etc.). However, if one day I need a relatively small, fully functional ball head, I can easily replace it. In summary, what I like best is that this tripod is really compact, but at the same time durable and high-quality.

Pros
  • understandable even for old people
Cons
  • A few little things
