Review on ☕️ Fellow Corvo EKG Electric Kettle: The Perfect Pour Over Coffee and Tea Pot by David Turner

Pot to watch

There is no audible indicator to let you know when the water has reached the right temperature. There's a "hold" feature that holds the temperature for 60 minutes, but what a waste: just tell me when you're done and I'll pour. There's also a stopwatch that counts down from zero to let you know how long it's been since you overcooked your tea. Again, a countdown timer and an alarm clock would make more sense. Whenever I use the stopwatch, the base handle gets stuck in the down position; I have to take it back. Perhaps this is an unusual defect, but besides that, the base looks cheap; Its rough plastic body looks gaudy, and the controls and hold-adjustment switches are dangling and awkward. Turning the knob to the desired temperature is a good idea, but it took more turns than I expected to go from 175° to 212° and back. . My previous kettle had +/- buttons in 5° increments, which is pretty specific and turned out to be a lot more convenient. Of the advantages: - metal lid (plastic lids break after a few years, stick together and get dirty). - Black outer coating means you won't have to deal with rust spots or discoloration - Display shows current water temperature while heating - Easy to pour; never feels too heavy Several reviewers commented that it's amazingly fast. I have no idea what they're comparing it to, but it's no faster than my old Kaloric that boiled the same amount of water; It takes a little less than 5 minutes to cook a maximum of 0.9 liters. But TBH 0-212° is something I don't pay much attention to when buying a kettle because most of them have the decency to beep when they're done!
