I bought this as a feeding scoop for use with Tractor Supply brand wood pellets. 3/8" slotted holes allow unused pellets to be sifted out, leaving only manure. Easy to clean. We use the shovel for two weeks. The scoop has a hanging hook on the side of the tray. My kitten has started playing with it so I keep it in a plastic bucket away from it. I first bought a cast aluminum shovel, but the wood pellets got stuck in the grooves. The metal spatula is only good for raking used sawdust pellets through the sieve holes into the bowl of this homemade sieve bowl.
